Sam Gyimah MP responds to emergency Budget in maiden speech PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 02 July 2010 02:55

On Monday, 28th June the new Conservative MP for East Surrey, Sam Gyimah, voiced his thoughts on the emergency Budget during his maiden speech in the House of Commons.

Sam outlined the challenges faced by his constituents and the values being upheld by those living in East Surrey, saying: "Some have said that on the face of it, I am an unlikely candidate to represent East Surrey. I have pointed out to them that it is a privilege and a pleasure for me to represent this great constituency because every day I see there the values that shaped me and that I hold dear. Those values should be at the heart of our economic policy and should guide us as we seek to reshape our society for the better."
