Jobsworth 407 PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 14 February 2011 17:00

Dear Jobsworth 407,

I was sitting on your bus with others today, (Monday 14th February) waiting for a lady over 60 to find her bus pass.
Not meeting with any success she asked the fare and was told £2.20.  She then asked if she could keep looking while you got underway so as not to delay passengers.   You refused this very reasonable request.  Naturally the lady did not wish to pay £2.20 when she was entitled to free travel, so she got off the bus.

At that point I intervened and encouraged her to take a seat while I paid so she could travel with us.
When the lady eventually found her pass she wanted to get a refund for me but by then it was time for me to leave.
My question for you is .. did you miss the lessons on customer service Jobsworth or is this the type of rude service we can expect on the 407 from now on?

CG, Caterham.
