The top five issues currently concerning Surrey residents are roads, waste, the environment, a lack of sports facilities for girls and the recession, according to attendees of a Question Time style event to be held at Dorking Halls later this month.
County Council Leader Dr Andrew Povey will directly answer residents' questions at the Have Your Say event on 25 March from 7pm until 9pm, alongside a panel of representatives from Surrey Police, NHS Surrey, district and borough councils and the business and voluntary sectors.
Questions already submitted include: What is the council doing to reduce carbon emissions? What is SCC's policy regarding building on the green belt?
