Tandridge District Council’s Environmental Health Team is running low cost Chartered Institute of Environmental Health accredited Food Hygiene courses for businesses. The Supervising Food Safety in Catering (Level Three) three day course is aimed at managers, supervisors and owners of businesses and is appropriate for anyone running a catering business where food is supplied or served. Courses are running on 16-18 March, 13-15 July and 9-11 November. The cost is £150 including vat, per person for businesses within the Tandridge District and £200 including vat, for those outside. The Food Safety in Catering (Level Two) one day course is aimed at teaching food handlers about basic good hygiene practice. Courses are being held on 13 April, 1 July and 24 November. The cost is £50 including vat, per person for businesses within the Tandridge District and £60 including vat, for those outside. Councillor Tony Elias, Chairman of the Community Services Committee, said: “We have been running these courses for a few years and always get a very positive response. We get excellent feedback from people who take the course about the quality of the content and how much they learn to help them run their kitchen effectively, as well as manage staff and documentation processes.”
