Recycling and refuse collections

Collections normally due on Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 December were suspended due to the icy roads and pavements. We will not be visiting these areas which are in the north of the district today (Thursday 9 December) for the same reasons.

Today (Thursday 9 December) we will collect refuse and recycling from roads we can access safely, where the paths are free of snow. These will be in the following locations and include properties normally collected on Thursdays and Fridays:

§ Crowhurst

§ Dormansland

§ Felbridge

§ Godstone

§ Horne

§ Hurst Green

§ Lingfield

§ Newchapel

§ Nutfield

§ Outwood

§ Shipley Bridge

§ South Godstone

§ South Nutfield

§ Smallfield

Garden waste collections

Garden waste collections will take place today (Thursday 9 December) for blue Thursday customers and on Friday 10 December for blue Friday customers. It may not be possible to empty your bin if the contents are frozen.

Collections of garden waste bins were cancelled from Tuesday 30 November to Wednesday 8 December. We will not be able to catch up with collections missed and the next collections will be as scheduled on the collection calendar.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of services over the last week. Thank you for your patience.
